When to File a Complaint
This resource is here for you, the consumer, to use to affect action from an unresponsive business. You must be able to answer "yes" to questions #1, #2, and #3 and "no" to question #4 before NCPB can process your complaint:
- Are you filing a complaint against a company that you, the consumer, have done business with?
- Have you made a previous attempt to contact the business to have the issue resolved?
- Have you given the merchant ample opportunity to correct any problem or issue before making the complaint to us?
- Are you filing a complaint against a known policy that you were aware of prior to the purchase?

If you believe the merchant is using deceptive advertising, or business practices you should also use this forum and we will investigate this.
